I made some discoveries about using the ErgoBaby carrier, that I thought I'd share. I have always liked the Ergo because it's easy to snap on and babies seem to love it! But sometimes it would hurt my back. I realized yesterday, that I could make some minor adjustments to help it be more ergonomic for me! Picture 1: Wearing the chest strap too high (what I used to do) Picture 2: A better position for the strap Picture 3. When I bend or squat, the hip strap often rides up. I used to just leave it there, but now I'm making the point to adjust it and lower it back to my hips so it doesn't cause lower back strain. Picture 4. Better position for the strap Picture 5 & 6. Another client of mine just bought the Ergo 360. I used it this week and really like it! The hip strap is wider, and seems to stay in place better, even with squatting and bending, which really helps avoid back strain, or frequent readjustments! | |
